Salaam & Hello readers!

Welcome to our page, we are a family of home schooled people who enjoy learning and gaining an education from one of the best places possible; home. After all, there's no place like home :) our mission is to teach our children in a wholesome environment where they can still gain the knowledge of learning to read & write without being subjected to the countless misfortunes which take place regularly in public schools.
We use an online program called K12 this program is a virtual charter school that the parent/guardian is responsible as the "learning coach" to guide the child through each lesson. This program is based out of a city which is an hour and a half from where we live.
Occasionally we have to take field trips to that hour and half away city and beyond as a part of our school's program; those trips can be very expensive at times i.e gas, entree fees, and travel expenses. My son is in second grade now. And for the past two years (Kindergarten and 1st grade) we've had to sit out all of the field trips. When a field trip was scheduled, we knew we couldn't afford it so we would take him to the fire station or to a nature park etc. Somewhere local. This year however, he is older and recognizes when his schedule is due for a field trip. We would really like to make this happen for him and would appreciate any monetary donations greatly.
We truly enjoy and encourage home-schooling so much that we go the extra mile for others to be able to enjoy the experience as well. To share in our experiences please venture over to the "photos" link on our homepage and enjoy seeing as our son has sprouted throughout the school years also how we give school supply donations to other children and even have tried to come up with nifty ways for him to enjoy learning on our "field trips" to different local places.
